Together with the Italian Embassy, British Embassy, AIF Foundation and UNESCO, Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE) successfully organized the WIA2021 Awards - “Waste Into Art 2021” and launched its first Workshop WIA2021 with the theme of “Plastic into creative”.

“I am excessively ecstatic when the contest has attracted a huge number of participants including students and lecturers of NUCE. I firmly believe that the Jury is very surprised and impressed by the ideas and ability of young people to convey meaningful messages through these entries." – said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hoang Giang at the beginning of the ceremony.
The Vice-Rector also thanked the partners for accompanying in organizing the event. In detail, the UNESCO Office in Vietnam, the Italian Embassy, the British Embassy in Hanoi, and the AIF Foundation work closely together to run the WIA2021 contest.

In the finale, the Jury Council unanimously selected 04 official prizes as follows:
Non-majored department:
- 1 First Prize: KITE PAVILION option (code TT296)
- 1 second prize: REMIND PAVILION option (code MR162)
- 1 Third Prize: HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE Option (code HA123)
Semi-majored department
- 1 First Prize: THE BOTTLE CHAPEL (code MK111)

The award ceremony of the contest ended successfully, recognizing the contributions of students. They are young architects full of talent and enthusiasm. They together join hands to solve public problems. Simultaneously, contesters also take this opportunity to meet experts and sponsors, listen to their feedback and suggestions for better improvement, increasing practicalization which is the main purpose of the contest.
